National Doodle Day 2012

About National Doodle Day

National Doodle Day - drawing a line through epilepsy

National Doodle Day was established back in 2004 to create a unique, fun and fantastically simple fundraising event that everyone could be a part of.

By simply doing a doodle, thousands of celebrities, schools, companies and individuals have joined together and helped raise over £220,000 for charity!

How your money helps

National Doodle Day raises money to support the work of Epilepsy Action.

Epilepsy Action works to build a brighter future for people living with epilepsy by providing practical support and information in a number of ways – over 845,000 people used our services last year.

As well as campaigning to improve epilepsy services and raise awareness of the condition we provide a national network of support groups, Accredited Volunteers, regular regional conferences and freephone and email helplines.

What your money can buy
  • £10 could fund a call to our freephone Epilepsy Helpline giving one caller the answers and support they need, at a time they need it most.
  • £20 could fund one hour of specialist support from a newly appointed Sapphire Nurse (epilepsy specialist nurse).
  • £50 could fund a six month supply of up-to-date information booklets and leaflets needed by an epilepsy specialist nurse for their patients.
  • £100 could fund an awareness session by a trained adviser to dispel myths and answer questions from a large audience at a school, work place or care home.
